This paper is based on the study of a Finnish art museum project—the Art and Culture Companions. This paper explored museum volunteers' involvement with this project as mixed serious leisure enthusiasts. It identified three different participation types in relation to how they integrated their voluntary mission with arts participation, and revealed how the museum volunteers' participation effectively benefited themselves, clients, museums, and the whole community. It also discussed the project coordinator's multiple identities and roles from the perspective of occupational devotion. This study improves the knowledge in relation to the integration of museum volunteering and arts participation within the frame of serious leisure.
